How to air fry drumsticks

Learning how to cook drumsticks in the air fryer is actually relatively simple. You approach it similar to other cooking methods. Season or marinate as you wish, and then you cook them. Except, what makes the air fryer so easy is there’s no monitoring a grill or checking the oven. You just pop them in there, flip them half way through, and then they’re done!

How long to cook chicken drumsticks in the air fryer

The cook time on chicken drumsticks in the air fryer will vary slightly based on how large your drumsticks are. For most drumsticks, you will set your air fryer to 400 degrees and cook them for a total of 20-25 minutes. As I mentioned above, you just rub your chicken with your favorite seasonings before cooking, and flip the chicken halfway through cooking.

My simple air fryer chicken drumsticks recipe

This is the best way to do air fryer drumsticks in my opinion!

Most air fryers should be able to fit 4-5 drumsticks at a time. If you want to do more, I recommend cooking your drumsticks in two batches.

You’ll need about 1 pound of drumsticks (4-5 as I mentioned.) Use the seasoning blend I list below and lightly pat the seasonings onto the outside of the drumsticks. I recommend leaving the skin on the drumsticks too.

Then add the drumsticks to your air fryer and cook for 10 minutes on 400 degrees. Carefully remove the basket from the air fryer and flip the drumsticks. Then cook for another 10 minutes on 400 degrees.
