Avocado Frozen Hot Chocolate is perfect year round! It’s loaded with healthy fats thanks to those avocados, fiber, (11g!). You can enjoy one for breakfast, dessert, or a snack. Any kind of unsweetened milk will work for this recipe. I prefer to use unsweetened almond milk to keep the carb count down, but you can easily use cow’s milk or soy milk as well.
Make sure to use unsweetened cocoa powder and not a sweetened variety.
You can adjust the amount of ice depending on how thick you want your avocado frozen hot chocolate.
If you’re using a smaller avocado, go ahead and throw the whole thing in there.
The maple syrup and almond extract can be adjusted to fit your taste preferences.
If you make a thicker avocado frozen hot chocolate, try pouring it in a bowl and adding your favorite toppings!
Avocado Frozen Hot Chocolate
1 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk
3 Tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
1 1/2 cups crushed ice
1/2 medium avocado, peeled, pit removed
1 Tbsp maple syrup
1 tsp almond extract
Combine all ingredients in your blender and blend on high for 60 seconds. You can also add 1 drop peppermint essential oil for a fun burst of flavor!
