Weekend photo dump ☺️ Enjoyed a kid free few days in New Orleans with lots of yummy food and lots of walking to help my blood sugars stay stable as best they could. And the weather was perfect 😎 The primary blood sugar management tools I used to promote stable blood sugars were:
1) Lots of walking
2) Eating protein and veggies before carbs
3) Extended pre bolus times for some food (like beignets 👌)

For some reason, some people get pretty upset at the idea that it’s normal to crave sugar.

It does taste delicious after all! And, it’s far better to honor that craving than to try to ignore it. There are many different ways to enjoy something sweet in a blood sugar friendly way:
1) Pair your sweet treat with a meal
2) Look for sweets that also have fiber and protein
3) Be mindful of the portion size you choose, and how it fits into your carbohydrate goals for managing your blood sugars.
